Special Thanks for Helping Rhode Islanders in Need

Bentley Foundation Support: RI Community Food Bank CEO Andrew Schiff (left) accepts a check from David P. The donation represents community support to help the Food Bank acquire nutritious food to help those in need.


 


Mac & Cheese Scores Goal: At the conclusion of the recent Shaw’s “Mac & Cheese Challenge” campaign with Shaw’s Supermarkets and the Providence Bruins, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank received a check in the amount of $5,000 from Shaw’s, as well as hundreds of boxes of Mac & Cheese from generous P-Bruins fans, to help local families in need.

A Savory Success: The Savory Grape Wine Shop announced its 3rd Annual Charity Fall Wine Festival yielded nearly $14,000 for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Clements Market Contributes: Employees of Clements Market stand with some of the more than 12,000 pounds of food contributed by staff as part of their payroll deductible campaign to help their neighbors in need. Among the food collected were cases of soup, stuffing, tomato sauce as well as thousands of pounds of potatoes, onions and carrots.

 


 

Market Makes a Difference: Representatives from Brigido's Fresh Market in Scituate present the Food Bank with a check in the amount of $4,500. The donation reflects funds raised through the generosity of the store's employees and customers.
