Nationally Acclaimed Witnesses to Hunger Exhibit Now in Providence

Energized Women Ending Hunger volunteers are assisted the Food Bank in bringing a compelling photo exhibit to Rhode Island.  The exhibit, Witnesses to Hunger, was created by the School of Public Health at Drexel University in Philadelphia.  This group gave cameras to 40 women with children struggling with hunger and poverty and asked them to document important aspects of their lives.  The women were also trained to speak about their life experiences to educate others about their struggles.  Their point of view was truly captured in these photos, giving the public a chance to feel as if we have been invited into their homes and neighborhoods.
