For twenty-five years, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has worked to ensure that every Rhode Islander has access to the healthy, nutritious food they need. The Food Bank distributes approximately eight million pounds of food to Rhode Islanders in need through a network of over 300 member agencies. To learn more about the Food Bank’s efforts click here.

"Fill the Food Bank" Challenge Begins with Help from Ocean State Job Lot, Shaw's & More!

To help our neighbors in need, Ocean State Job Lot has partnered with the Food Bank for the “Fill the Food Bank Challenge.”

The drive, which began on August 4th and will continue through the 25th, challenges other food-related businesses to donate full or partial truckloads of food. The community can  also help by donating funds towards the purchase of food. With each donated dollar the Food Bank can provide three healthy meals. To read more, click here.
